(COLORADO SPRINGS) — High school students in Colorado Springs had the opportunity to get an up-close look at manufacturing jobs when Allegion‘s Operations hosted them for its 2025 Manufacturing Day celebration, including an informational meeting and tour of Allegion’s Operations, a local manufacturing facility.
The goal of the tour was to inspire the next generation of modern manufacturers and address a skills gap facing the industry. Students, their instructors, and local community leaders were able to learn about the innovation and opportunities in the industry.
“I think it’s critical that we get out into the community and teach them what’s available in manufacturing… so that they really understand that and know that there is a career opportunity for them in manufacturing,” said Paul Monteleone, VP of Operations at Allegion.
The event took place on Manufacturing Day, when Allegion annually joins the National Association of Manufacturers in spreading awareness of the industry through live demonstrations.
