(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Pikes Peak United Way (PPUW) announced it has awarded over half a million dollars in grants to 27 local nonprofits in Colorado Springs for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
PPUW said the $550,000 of funding is going toward three areas of impact-youth success, family stability, and health-aligning with PPUW’s mission to support the community across El Paso and Teller County. PPUW estimates the grants will impact the lives of over 70,000 people across the Pikes Peak Region.
According to PPUW, the funds come from the Community Investment Fund, which is a community and donor-driven initiative where donors specify the funding areas for their money to support. Applicants for funds are screened for fiscal responsibility, effectiveness, and impact alignment. For 2025-2026 grant awards, 35 agencies applied for funding, and 27 were selected.
“Creating tangible impacts in areas of family stability, youth success, and health doesn’t happen in a vacuum,” said Cami Bremer, president and CEO of Pikes Peak United Way. “These grants are a force multiplier — empowering our partnership network to continue providing much-needed services touching all facets of life.”
