(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Around 70 people participated in a cleanup event at Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs on Saturday, Aug. 24, as part of the city’s Keep It Clean COS program.

“Our city’s cleanliness is a shared responsibility; it’s a personal responsibility,” said Mayor Mobolade. “And we’re trying to activate our residents to be a part of the solution.”
The Keep It Clean COS program is a citywide effort aimed at maintaining the cleanliness of Colorado Springs by organizing community events to clear trash from public rights of way. The next cleanup event is scheduled to take place at America the Beautiful Park on Saturday, Sept. 6.
