(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Over 1,000 people joined the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Pueblo Riverwalk on Saturday, Sept. 13, raising funds to enable the Alzheimer’s Association to provide information, programs, and services to Colorado families at no charge, as well as to fund research to find a cure.
Participants included care partners, family members, and people living with Alzheimer’s. The Pueblo Walk was one of 13 walks around Colorado in 2025 and had a fundraising goal of $55,000.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association Rocky Mountain Region, 91,000 Coloradans are living with Alzheimer’s, and 7.4 million Americans, making it the 6th leading cause of death and the only leading disease without a prevention or cure.
The Colorado Springs Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday morning, Sept. 27, at Memorial Park.
