(COLORADO SPRINGS) — An unexpected visitor popped in to the programming building of the Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) and hung out with employees for a while on Thursday, June 26 before finding its way back into the skies of Colorado.
PPLD posted on social media about its feathered friend, which has been visiting the programming team at The Hall behind Penrose Library for several days. On Wednesday, the hawk was seen outside a window, seemingly interested in the vital work of PPLD staff.

The hawk was apparently so enthralled with the library, it decided it needed an up-close-and-personal look. The avian adventurer somehow managed to find its way inside The Hall on Thursday, and hung out on light fixtures, ceiling fans, cubicles, and even a stack of books.
PPLD said its team was more than happy to share their exciting lineup of summer programming with the visitor before it took off to enjoy some more outdoor activities.
