(PALMER LAKE, Colo.) — One person died in a two-vehicle crash on northbound I-25 at Palmer Divide around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, according to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP).
CSP reported that a Honda Accord and a GMC Yukon collided while driving northbound on I-25, causing one of the vehicles to roll, though it is not known which at this time. The driver of the vehicle that rolled was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger of that vehicle was taken to the hospital by Flight for Life. The driver of the other vehicle received minor injuries.

The northbound lanes of I-25 were closed between Exit 163 at County Line Road and Exit 167 at Greenland, one mile north of the Woodmoor exit. According to COTrip, the left-hand lanes have reopened, and only the right-hand lane is closed as of 3:30 p.m.
