ORIGINAL STORY: Shelter in place issued near Austin Bluffs and Academy
A shelter-in-place has been issued for an apartment complex near Austin Bluffs Parkway and North Academy Boulevard due to law enforcement activity.
According to a Peak Alert sent by the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the Montebello Garden Apartments are under a shelter-in-place order as of shortly after 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 due to law enforcement activity near the 4300 block of Montebello Drive.
Residents in the warned area should secure their homes and stay away from doors and windows.
