(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — A rockslide has closed a portion of Lovers Lane in Manitou Springs, according to the City of Manitou Springs.
The City posted on social media on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 27, and said the first 100 block of Lovers Lane, near Cañon Avenue, is closed as crews work to clean up the rockslide.
Images from our FOX21 News crew at the scene show a car partially buried and heavily damaged by the rockslide.
No injuries have been reported but the extent of property damage is currently unknown, the City said.
Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes and sidewalks while the clean-up is underway.
