(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Shot Spotter detected the firing of 27 rounds around 2:45 a.m. in Pueblo on Saturday, Nov. 1, while at the same time, calls came in reporting that two people had been shot, according to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD).
PPD reported that when officers arrived at the scene at the 1100 block of West 13th Street, near Baxter Street, they found the two victims, who were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. One of the victims died of his injuries at around 10:20 a.m. He was later identified as 21-year-old Eric Torres. The other victim was stabilized at the hospital.
Detectives took over the investigation and have not yet identified a suspect. At this time, the shooting appears to be a targeted incident, and there is no danger to the public. This is Pueblo’s 12th homicide in 2025. At this time in 2024, there were 17 homicides.
