(CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo.) — The Chaffee County Search and Rescue (SAR) North team got a call about some dogs that were struggling on Mt. Princeton. Pet rescues aren’t normally something SAR undertakes, but several pet-loving team members were ready to take on the challenge on Friday, Aug. 8.
Around 3:45 p.m. on Friday, SAR received a call saying that the dogs needed help, and a couple of teams were able to make it up the mountainside to carry the pups down. All teams and dogs were back to safety seven hours later.
According to SAR, Fido Pro donated the canine carry harnesses.
