(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Officers responded to a shooting around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, in which one man was killed, according to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD).

PPD reported that officers responded to the area of Acero Avenue and Anasazi Street, near West Northern Avenue, where the firing of 15 rounds had been detected on the Shot Spotter system. When they arrived, officers found that a man appeared to have been shot and had died at the scene. The Pueblo County Coroner identified the victim as Bryce Woolery.
Detectives from PPD’s Crimes Against Persons and Crime Scene Investigations units took over the investigation and identified 25-year-old Darian Cocilo as the suspect. Cocilo was arrested and booked into the Pueblo County Detention Facility on 1st Degree Murder, according to PPD.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting, which appears to be an isolated incident, with no continued threat to the public. PPD reported that this is the 11th homicide of 2025; at this time in 2024, there were 17 homicides.
