(AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo) — For the third time this season, the Falcons lose another close game by three points. This time, it comes via a walk-off field goal as time expired with Army taking home a 20-17 win over Air Force on Saturday, Nov. 1st, 2025.
Once again, the Falcon offense relied on a run-heavy game plan running the ball 50 times compared to 18 passes. Quarterback Liam Szarka led the way again with 29 carries for 91 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
One of them coming after a crititcal fourth down stop from the Air Force defense setting up the tying score with 1:26 left in regulation. From there, the Army offense picked up a first down on four running plays leading to a 42-yard pass down to the Falcon 12-yard line which set up the walk off field goal.
Despite the loss, it’s the second week in a row the Falcon defense held their opponent to under 25 points. Despite the defensive improvement, the offense had three turnovers and a missed field goal contributing to the loss.
