(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Six people were taken to the hospital Saturday night, May 24, after the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to reports of an active shooter on Potter Drive, near the intersection of Palmer Park Boulevard and Academy Boulevard, according to police.
CSPD reported that the calls came in around 10:12 p.m., saying an active shooter incident occurred in the 1400 block of Potter Drive.
When officers arrived, they found four people with gunshot wounds who were then taken to the hospital. Officers learned that two people had already been taken to the hospital in personal vehicles. According to CSPD, one victim is in critical condition.
CSPD stated that at this time, the shooting appears to have started after an argument. The Homicide unit responded and took over the investigation.
