(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A six-year-old is in the hospital after being struck by a car in Colorado Springs.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers originally received calls about a crash at the intersection of Red Hill Circle and South Rockrimmon Boulevard, near the Rockrimmon Open Space, just after 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 15.
According to CSPD, the child was taken to the hospital upon arrival of first responders, where they are being treated for unknown injuries.
Police said the driver of the car stayed on the scene following the incident.
