(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — The Commonwheel Artists Co-op 51st Annual Labor Day Art Festival is taking place from Saturday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 1 in Manitou Springs, featuring the work of around 90 artists.
The festival offers guests the opportunity to engage with artists at their booths, enjoy live music, and participate in family-friendly events.
Jennifer Ernst, of Half Past Clocks, shared that her idea to use door knobs as clocks came to her after a sleepless night, which eventually led to the creation of her business. “I’ve been making clocks for about 16 years this way, and this is a great festival,” said Jennifer Ernst of Half Past Clocks. “There’s so many great artists here. I do really well here. I love the people here.”
The Commonwheel Artists Co-op highlights the importance of artists connecting with community members and receiving feedback on their work. A full list of participating artists can be found at commonwheel.com.
