(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The 9th annual Colorado Springs Comic Con is bringing fictional characters to life this weekend at the Broadmoor World Arena.
The event features characters from popular franchises like Titanfall, Starship Troopers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars, and Pikachu, attracting fans and vendors from across the country.
“Everyone has been super nice. I love talking, and everyone is willing to talk with me,” said Megan Keefe, who traveled from Oregon to sell her art at the event.
Hundreds of vendors are offering comics, action figures, and art, drawing artists from around the country to Colorado Springs Comic Con.

“My brothers and I, we just like to come out and enjoy the art and create creativity that people come in and bring to The World Arena,” said Israel and JC Alvarado.
Fans can spend hundreds of dollars on their character costumes over multiple years, and the event provides an opportunity to find missing pieces for cosplay.
“I would say about 60% complete because there are some missing parts. It’s all 3D printed. So, I just got to wait and print out some more parts, and then I should be hopefully 100% by next year, said Israel Alvarado.

Andrew Campbell is promoting actors by offering free posters for items signed by a voice actor from Chainsaw Man.
The event also features a variety of actors, including one artist’s favorite from Chainsaw Man.
Attendees are going all out with costumes, face paint, and collectors’ items, showcasing their creativity and passion for the art.

“I always like the people that come by the booth, and they say, my work inspires them, said Campbell.
With events continuing through Sunday, fans still have time to meet their favorite characters and enjoy the creativity on display at the Colorado Springs Comic Con.
