(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Air Force ended its 2024 campaign on a high note with four straight wins. Now, they continue that momentum into 2025 with a 49-13 win over Bucknell at Falcon Stadium. The Falcon’s offense moved with ease through the entirety of this game, finishing with 426 yards of total offense.
This all happened as both quarterbacks, Josh Johnson and Liam Szarka, saw action in the first game. Johnson was able to throw two touchdowns on just seven attempts while Szarka completed both of his passes. Senior Wide Receiver Cade Harris did it all for the Falcons as he finished with three total touchdowns, with two on the ground and one 62-yard touchdown reception.
The Falcon’s defense held Bucknell to 266 yards of total offense, forcing two turnovers that led to two Air Force touchdowns, and also recorded six sacks. The Falcons will now have two weeks to prepare for their second game of the year as they will travel to Logan, Utah, to take on Utah State on September 13th.
