(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — A Pikes Peak Cog Railway staff member remains in the hospital in critical condition after being the victim of an assault on Saturday, Aug. 16, according to the Manitou Springs Police Department (MSPD).
MSPD reported that around noon on Saturday, the staff member was assaulted in the parking lot, located at 515 Ruxton Avenue. The victim’s condition was unknown at the time. MSPD requested the community’s assistance in identifying two people of interest, a man and a woman, in connection with the incident.
According to MSPD, the man and woman have been located, and the investigation continues, as police determine the extent of their involvement, if any.
“We thank the community and the Pikes Peak Cog Railway for their cooperation and assistance during this process,” said MSPD officials.
