(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs is opening submissions for its 13th edition of the Discover COS Calendar.
The City invites the public to submit their photos of Colorado Springs’ open spaces. The 2026 Discover COS Calendar theme is “Rooted in the Outdoors,” with the aim of highlighting the essential role that open spaces play in the community.
“These landscapes not only offer a chance to connect with nature but also provide an escape from the hustle and bustle of life, opportunities for wildlife observation, and access to some of the city’s most scenic and ecologically significant areas,” wrote the City.
Submissions for the calendar must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5. Photos can be submitted by emailing calendar@coloradosprings.gov, or they can be dropped off or mailed to 1401 Recreation Way. Winning submissions will be announced at an awards ceremony in October. Following the announcement, calendars will be printed and made available for a suggested donation. All proceeds will support the reforestation of the former Snyder Quarry in Black Canyon Open Space.
