(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Southbound lanes of I-25 are closed for several miles through Colorado Springs on Thursday night, July 10.
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) posted about the closure around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 10. CSPD said all southbound lanes were closed from Fillmore to the Bijou Street exit Downtown, though CSPD added that severe traffic was impacting the interstate as far north as Rockrimmon. The Colorado Department of Transportation shows southbound I-25 is closed from Woodmen Road to Bijou.
Alternate routes are advised. CSPD said it does not have an estimate of when southbound lanes of the interstate will reopen, and it cannot confirm whether this crash involves any fatalities. The Major Crash Team is responding to investigate the crash.
