(PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo.) — A recent Special Investigations operation in Pueblo County resulted in the seizure of drugs and the arrests of numerous people on new charges and outstanding warrants.
According to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), the hours-long operation resulted in 18 traffic stops, the seizure of at least seven grams of methamphetamine, more than 30 fentanyl pills, and four arrests. Two of the arrests were on outstanding warrants, including a no-bond warrant out of New Mexico.
One arrest was the result of a new drug charge, and the other arrest included new charges as well as an outstanding warrant. Two guns were also located.
“As we prepare to head into summer, we know there tends to be an increase in criminal activity, but with missions like this, we’re sending a message that we’re going to be out there looking for those who are engaging in illegal activity,” said Pueblo County Sheriff David J. Lucero. “Our priority is to keep our streets safe and to hold accountable those who are involved in criminal activity and the sale of drugs in our community.”
The names of those arrested and the location of the operation are not being released as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
